Howie Homes has been constructing custom homes in the Ottawa Valley since 1980. As President, I have over 30 years experience working first as a licensed carpenter, then as a general contractor. Our highly skilled Howie Homes foreman has been with the company for 27 years. I not only build homes, I build strong working relationships with my team of professional subcontractors.

The best general contractors have a  trades background combined with an inclusive administrative knowledge.Working onsite as a trades person gives one an understanding of what can be feasibly done within appropriate time frames leading to realistic budgets and time scheduling. It is an unfortunate fact that within our industry some individuals attempt to short cut the learning curve, setup as part-time contractors and make promises they cannot keep to home owners. At Howie Homes we believe in hard  and honest work and, along with our extensive knowledge, that is what we bring to the table. Building quality custom structures is our only job; we are dedicated and there is no one better to build your dream home.

Highly Skilled Trades Means Quality Construction

Over the years we have groomed a number of trades to our high standards of quality construction. These trades have been loyal to us throughout the years, are fully qualified, and are here for the long haul.  We have trained and employ our own framing and finishing crews, this is unique in the industry. Most building contractors sub-contract even the framing and finishing work, which is an integral part of any building project.

There are unqualified people out there calling themselves contractors, unfortunately they are in the industry for a fast buck, and won’t be there at a later date for their customers, leaving them with no recourse whatsoever. Howie Homes are fully insured and Tarion registered which means you’ll sleep well knowing your home construction is full protected.
